Extreme weather events, such as large-scale floods and droughts cause devastating damage all over the world, as we have seen again this year. Climate change has become so aggravated that it may threaten our very lives, and we must act on it immediately. At the same time, the world’s energy supply is in great turmoil.
For decarbonization and energy security, a variety of entities around the world need to share their knowledge and challenges, and work together to tackle these pressing issues. We are now at a crossroads that will determine the future. TIME TO ACT—Now is the time to accelerate actions.
Hydrogen will play a major role in energy security on a global scale as it is an excellent candidate for long-term storage and can be used in different fields. In particular, Green Hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources has a low environmental load, as it does not emit CO2 when it is used nor when it is produced.
We are convinced that the use of hydrogen energy in a broad range of fields, including transport, commercial/industrial, and residential fields, will help realize a cleaner and more sustainable society. To open up a brighter future and pass on a rich Earth to the next generation, we hereby declare that we will lead the world in effective efforts to spread Green Hydrogen.
